Waterfowl Week IV – 2026

The final week of the season always comes with some disappointment. We spent 10 months since last season preparing for this season. Thinking about the season. Looking forward to seeing many long time friends again, even if just for a short few days. So, like every other week, we put everything we have into the last week. By the way, it was a bad week to be a duck, or a goose, or a crane.

The first afternoon duck hunt was a rapid fire exercise. Hunters limited out well before sunset.

The second morning was a tremendous crane hunt. So good in fact that we did not take any pictures. If we gather some from the hunters we will update this section.

The last morning was a snow goose hunt. Plenty of action and a good collection of birds. The juvenile migration is definitely underway as you can tell by the grey birds in the photo.

What's better than shooting a duck? Making Travis go for a walk to retrieve it!

This was our final hunt week of the 2026 season. We would like to extend a great big thank you to all our hunters that came for the Honker Heaven Outfitters Experience. It was a pleasure to hunt with all of you and we are already looking forward to a very successful 2027. - Travis and Kevin

Waterfowl Week III – 2026

As Waterfowlers, we always want some wind. Wind to make the birds pick a direction to land. Wind to put a little wiggle in the decoys.  This week we had more than our share of wind. It can produce some birds nearly hovering on approach, that first shot is hard to miss. Then a 100 mile per hour flare as their wings catch the wind. Our hunters handled it very well.

Our morning duck hunt was almost as quick as the time to set up the decoys and blinds. Done in under an hour.

A morning crane hunt added the pile of "Rib Eye of the Sky" they will be feasting on later.

A final afternoon duck hunt went the same way as the previous duck hunt, a limit shoot in under an hour.

Waterfowl Week II 2026

Week II featured just one large group who enjoyed the mixed bag field hunts.

Windy Ducks

A windy evening duck hunt made for some challenging shooting but our hunters were up to the challenge, with bonus big Canadas

Big Bird Day

This 7 man limit of cranes plus Canadas and Specklebellies was certainly a shoot to leave them all smiling.

Fields are Opening Up

Harvest now seems to be back at full speed which opens up more fields and more flocks.
