Week 1 is in the books with our first two groups of the year leaving with smiles on their faces.
Opening Day
The first hunt of the year was a great start with 66 snows and 25 ducks.
Cranes are Popular
Our early season hunting has featured great crane hunting. While we have been crop-blocked from some fields due to late harvests, we have had good access to some crane fields.
The Hybrid
A highlight of the week was a hybrid specklebelly - blue phase snow goose.
Ducks in the Evening
The afternoon / evening hunts featured some excellent duck action. Pintails, Mallards, Teal and Widgeons have all been popular targets.
Fields are Opening Up
Harvest now seems to be back at full speed which opens up more fields and more flocks.
