Accommodations
We have recently built our own accommodations and facilities on our owned property just a few minutes south of the town of Colonsay. It is quiet and relaxing and the central hub of all our operations. Our goal is to provide you with enough space to have a room of your own, all the modern amenities, nothing to worry about, and the feeling that you are being spoiled during your time with us.
From the time we pick you up at the airport to the time we drop you off for your return flight, we want your adventure with Honker Heaven to be absolutely worry free.
Gourmet Appetites
As our guests, you will experience gourmet meals of naturally raised beef and a taste of the local cuisine. We always warn guests that this is not a weight loss camp as there is lots of good food that our cooks take great pride in preparing. Our full industrial scale kitchen features the wonderful Chef Crystal, always keeping track of everyone's favorites and dislikes plus the most amazing deserts. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
Don't miss out on the jar of fresh home-made cookies on the counter. One isn't enough!
The coffee is always fresh in the morning and we have travel mugs to borrow if you want take some along for the ride or for in the blind on the cool morning hunts.
Rooms for All
Our camp features 10 bedrooms, each with 2 beds. Each hunter will have their own bedroom with plenty or space for your gear and plenty of privacy.
Hang you gear in the open closets or on the ample shelving. Several power outlets are available to keep your electronics charged and the camp WiFi will help keep you connected to hunting buddies back home.
Facilities
Just down the hall from your private bedroom our bathroom facilities provide 4 shower stalls, 4 toilet stalls, and a urinal.
We have separate facilities for female guests as well.
Room to Relax
Whether on the outdoor lounge or the indoor lounge, we have comfortable seating areas to stretch out and relax after hunts.
Room for the Dogs
Outside next to the outdoor lounge area we have a fenced-off dog run for your hunting companions.
A Typical day at Waterfowl Camp
The day starts off usually around 3:30-4:00 am with a light breakfast which typically includes fresh fruit, cereal, toasted bread or bagels, muffins and coffee or tea. We will provide your ride to the fields. After the morning hunt we return to the lodge and have a hot dinner and recount the morning hunts highlights. There is an opportunity to relax and take a nap while your guides clean birds and ready the equipment for the afternoon hunt which we typically depart for around 3:00 pm or later depending on the hunt specifics. Supper will be ready upon you returning from the afternoon hunt. After supper, spend your evening relaxing at camp freshening up with a hot shower or out by the fire (weather permitting), sharing stories of the day’s action.
